Franz Lizst was born in Doborján (Hungary) on October 22, 1811 and died on July 31, 1886, in Bayreuth. He was still very young when his talent as a pianist announced an outstanding musical career (“the nature created a pianist “, according to Carl Czerny) for him. Therefore, he became virtuoso and composer. Franz Lizst and Richard Wagner created the “New German school” of Weimar, which defied the classical school of Robert Schumann and of Johannes Brahms.
