George Friedrich Handel was born on February 23, 1685 in Halle (Germany). He quickly produced as a harpsichordist and organist, also began the composition, his works sometimes having a great success (St John Passion, Almira …) and opening him many doors throughout Europe. In England, he composed many pieces (Messiah, Fireworks music …) and was especially enjoyed by the English public. In London, where he spent much of his life, Handel became the music tutor of King George I’s children. George Friedrich Handel died in London on April 14, 1759.
